“Buffalo’s Tyler Westcott is no stranger to the area. You may have caught him with his band Folkfaces – well, one of his bands – at Fairchild Folk Festival in Remsen or the Strawberry Jam in Turin. Folkfaces is one of the most popular bands in Western New York, having taken their eclectic roots show from Canada to Louisiana.

“It’s a variety show of roots music. We do electric and acoustic; sometimes it’s like a jugband or bluegrass band other times it’s more like rock n roll or jazz,” explains Westcott. “It’s eclectic and the originals are written in some of those styles too.”

Despite playing in several different bands, Westcott still finds time to play a number of solo shows and duo shows.”

Brendan Gosson is a fiddler from Syracuse area, blending his classical upbringing with the traditional sounds of bluegrass, old time, country, blues, swing, and Celtic styles and spirited improvisation.
He performs with Sara Hulse Band and as a solo act, he is a regular guest of Folkfaces, Dishonest Fiddlers and has sat in with Poor Man's Whiskey, Still Hand String Band, Blind Owl Band, Dirty Blanket, Kitchen Dwellers, The Crooked North and many more. He released his first solo EP Primo Ganso in 2013. Since then he has lent his fiddle to a wide variety of recordings including the Easy Ramblers' Country Living (2014) Michelle Renee's Reflections (2014) Boots n Shorts' Just Another Day (2016) Eddie Z's Song Miner (2016) and Count Blastula's Jive Honey (2018) and more!
