Doors 7pm, Music 9pm
When James Charles "Chuck" Cuminale, the one and only Colorblind James, died much too soon in 2001, he left the world hundreds of original songs. Funny, sad (frequently both at the same time), they are utterly unique, brimming with his keen insight and wit and fulfilling his vision of "the sound of the working class ascending to heaven."
Now, 20 years later, family, friends and former bandmates will take the stage at Abilene to bring his lyrical and musical vision to life. This seven-piece band features Rita Coulter on vocals, Mark Cuminale on rhythm guitar and vocals, Phil Marshall on lead guitar and vocals, Ken Frank on bass, Jimmy McAvaney on drums, Dave McIntire on clarinet and saxophone and Steve Frank on trombone.
This group is dedicated to sharing Chuck's grand vision, and hopes it will inspire more shows to come, with even more family, friends and former bandmates celebrating the legacy of the great Colorblind James.
This show is sold out. Thank you all very much!
