That One Crocodile

Blending elements of traditional folk music, indie rock, and power pop, That One Crocodile is the home base of Rochester singer/songwriter Ben Baker. Active in the region for many years, Baker returns to the stage to celebrate his newest collection, the country-inflected MANY STATES (available now to stream on all platforms). An eclectic yet cohesive mix of songs featuring multiple vocalists, a horn section, pedal steel guitar, and several characters inhabiting a loose narrative, the record celebrates resilience, rebirth, and self-discovery. This show – the band’s Abilene debut – will also mark the physical release of MANY STATES by Columbus OH label Little Pigeon Tapes. Cassettes, as well as a super-limited run of t-shirts will be available hot off the presses for the very first time!

Local songwriter and bandleader Jeremy Button will appear as support to open the evening, performing original music from his band’s upcoming self-titled disc, GROWL BEAR, as well as classic alt. and outlaw country songs.

Enjoy a night of Indie Folk Americana
