BUFFALO DEAD ALLSTARS

Formed in 2017 The Buffalo Dead Allstars is a rotating cast of players from the vast pool of Grateful Dead cover bands in WNY. Players also come to town from Boston, Scranton and Cleveland. Much like the original, no two shows are the same and no two bands are the same. The show at Abilene will feature Eric Crittendon on Keys, Sax and vocals: Award-winning multi-instrumentalist & entertainer (CRiTT's Juke Joint, Bob Weir and Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, Sinbad the Comedian, Michael Franti, G-Love & Special Sauce, Jefferson Airplane/Starship, Dirty Dozen Brass Band), music educator (IMAGE Urban Arts Workshop, BCAT, BPS), CEO of CRiTT Presents, and co-founder of Buffalo Music Club, Mark Hitchcock Drums, Coordinator of BDAS shows and a 30 year veteran of the Buffalo Dead scene , Johnny Lit Guitar and vocals:

Johnny has audiences dancing all over the Northeast. His recreation of the classic Garcia tone is amazing and he plays with soul and enthusiasm that will bring a smile to your face and make your feet move. Michael Reid Bass and Cosmic Sound: Mike holds down the bass chair in Buffalo's Grateful Dans as well a numerous local blues outfits. He brings a unique sound to the music. Jennifer Rose Vocals: Jennifer plays with the Buffalo Dead Alliance one of Buffalo's most popular and longest running Dead/Garcia outfits.

Johnny Lit is the band leader, lead singer & guitar player of Jerry Duty, the Jerry Garcia tribute band . Johnny started playing Guitar around the age of 9 years old and music has been his passion ever since. Lit’s guitar playing ranges from jam band, blues, country and even bluegrass influences. His approach to music and performing is a very unique one in the sense that it pays respect to true great improvisers before his time. Every song and show is truly different as he feels that we all “ the audience and performers” make music together as a organic, living , breathing thing. The songs can take other directions, go longer or shorter, faster or slower performed in the moment for that moment. Johnny has performed with members of many well known bands such as Rusted Root, Donna Jean and the Tricksters, John Kadlecik Band, Breaking Benjamin , Cold, Chubby Checker Band, Cabinet and more. Lits is a career musician that can be found most of the time performing around the north east of the USA with Jerry Duty, his jamgrasss duo/trio, as well solo acoustic performances
