Buffalo, NY quintet Snakeland return to Abilene to celebrate the release of their debut LP, Panamerican! The record blends DIY punk ethos with over-the-top heavy metal swagger, and the band delivers an energetic live show to back it up.
Two of the best new Rochester bands complete the lineup:
Into The Light are making some waves with a pair of new singles. A recent review from lastdaydeaf.com
says it best: “Into The Light delivers a massive dose of guitar-driven noise, featuring powerful riffs, heavy bass lines, and raw, exceptional vocals.” Members’ resumes include experience with bands like Achilles, Marathon, How We Are, Lemuria, and many more.
Life Skills round out the evening with a synth-driven blend of pop, psych-rock, and soul. Another new band with familiar faces, the lineup features members of Rochester pop standouts Kopps, Sports, and Vacation Daze. Their leadoff single, “Golden Fleece,” brings together lo-fi indie pop soundscapes and a big, bass-driven groove.
