The Son Henry Band

A true veteran of the global music scene, Son Henry boasts a remarkable 40-year international career, earning accolades such as two British Blues Awards for his exceptional lap steel guitar playing. From electrifying performances at prestigious festivals to intimate solo sets, Son Henry's music transcends genres, blending blues, country, and rock with infectious energy and authenticity and captivating audiences with soulful melodies, heartfelt storytelling, and driving rock blues compositions. Now back in Rochester after a career spanning Alaska, the UK, Europe, and Texas, he has just finished recording a new album, “Grace” in Budapest, Hungary with long-time collaborators T. Rogers. The album is following a coordinated release with physical CD’s available for sale only at live performances. Son Henry’s performance at Abilene coincides with the release of the third single, “Ribbon of Tar”.
