Stella Hill

The sass of a rhinestone cowboy hat and the comfort of a well-loved pair of jeans: Stella Hill pays tribute to the classic Nashville duets made famous by Dolly Parton & Porter Wagoner, Tammy Wynette & George Jones, and Emmylou Harris & Gram Parsons. Stella Hill is the songwriting collaboration between keyboardist Josh Massicot and string player Liz Ristow. The wife and husband duo write songs with earnest lyrics, tight vocal harmonies, and richly textured arrangements that incorporate an eclectic fabric of musical tastes: from jazz to folk, from country to classical. The duo’s third EP, Lost at Sea, was recorded by Grammy award-winning engineer and producer Will Russell in a historic church outside of Ithaca, NY. Lost at Sea (2024), North Star (2020) and Stella Hill’s eponymous EP (2019) are available on Bandcamp and all music streaming platforms.
