LEFT-HANDED SECOND BASEMAN!

LH2B is the creation of singer/songwriter/producer Fran Broderick (Friday in America; PilotSuits.). His debut album, Eudaimonia, pulls together his sprawling influences - Bob Dylan and John Prine ("Over and Over Again”; “I’m Sorry God Didn’t Make You Cool”), Biggie and Sam Cooke (“Across the Room”) and gritty soul and rock acts like The Velvet Underground (“Sadly Sally”) and Dr. Dog. Broderick wrote, engineered, arranged and produced each song, in the vein of singer/songwriter-led productions from artists like The War on Drugs and Phosphorescent. The result is a mix of songs heavy on lyricism, haunting arrangements and memorable hooks, that seamlessly jump through genres. Much of the album’s raw, lo-fi aesthetic results from instruments being recorded one at a time in bedrooms and practice spaces.
