BLACK NIGHT!

Black Night is a classic jazz and blues band with a glimpse into the future. Not loud but stylistic and a straight ahead ensemble of jazzy blues and cool combo jazz. Clever arrangements. Emotional-not technical, Black Night shines when adding a bit of funk to the mix along with a sometimes roughneck groove. The band is named after the Charles Brown and Bobby Bland song, “Black Night.” Get ready for a night of tunes by such legends as Albert Collins, Freddie King, Duke Ellington…and with a nod to today’s great bluesmen like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, and Taj Mahal.

The band consists of Mark Francis (guitars, vocals), Jonathan Feldman (keyboards, vocals), Jerry Garcia (drums), Kirk Stamp- (tenor sax) and Mike Francis (trumpet). These six players bring their wide range of taste and influence of blues & jazz together to form a melting pot of great music rejecting the status quo.
