The Boyd Parker Ambush

The Boyd Parker Ambush has its roots in Livingston County, much like the minor military engagement during the Revolutionary War which inspired its name. Led by two guitar wielding lead vocalists Jeff Sherner (The Genesee Revelers) & Nick Young (Burning Daylight), the lineup is rounded out by Jeff Simpson (The Genesee Revelers) on bass, Steve Nelson (Blue Jimmy) on drums and Dave Curry (The Genesee Revelers) on organ/piano. The band’s sound & set list draws heavily from both alternative country & the country rock sound of Gram Parsons with some classic country thrown in for good measure. Expect to hear songs by artists like Wilco, Old 97s and The Bottle Rockets as well as Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and John Prine…oh, and bring your dancing shoes.
