DeLorean Sisters

The DeLorean Sisters is a Brooklyn-based band that got their start reimagining 1980s synth pop hits as alt-country and Americana ditties. They strip some of the most familiar songs of the decade down to the bone and then reinvent them on largely acoustic instruments. Their innovative arrangements of songs by David Bowie, The Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, Danzig and others will make you hear these old songs in a completely new light.
Although they aren’t really sisters, you’ll be fooled by the blood harmonies between Diane Wohland on guitar and Lizzie Caplan on ukulele. Gary Lowery sings, hollers and washboards. Clive Thompson plays lead guitar and harmonica. Danny Reisbeck slaps the bass, while Steve Pauley plucks the banjo.

They thought that they might try their hands at writing some of their own material, and before they knew it they were in the studio laying down tracks for their current 6 song EP. Experience the 80s all over again flavored with banjo and sweet vocals, along with some good ol’ salty hoedown originals. It goes down good with a cold beer and a shot of rye.
