Hipnosis - Tragically Hip Tribute Night!

What happens when you get 5 young American gents that enjoy some jams from up North? You get Hipnotized… Well, actually, you get Hipnosis.

Beginning in 2011 as nothing more than an idea, a group of friends set out to the Great White North for a road trip that would end up being a concert for the ages, The Big Music Fest in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. Five members of this friend group just happened to also play music of their own, so this was a real treat. Looking up at the stage that day, seeing The Trews, Sam Roberts and most importantly, The Tragically Hip, an idea was born. “People should see and hear this music back home in the States, so let’s bring it to them.”

Andy Simpson (Vocals), Stephen Frankosky (Guitar/ Vocals), Mike Heilemann (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Ryan Horab (Bass) and Chris Graf (Drums) had plenty of experience already playing across Western New York in previous local bands, the plan was ready to roll.

After a few years of life getting in the way, the guys were finally able to make their Canadian Rock dreams a reality, forming Hipnosis officially in the Summer of 2016. Since then, you no longer have to tune the FM radio to 102.1, or 97.7 to hear “yer favourite” Tragically Hip tunes.
